Rustic Christmas decorations
Rustic Christmas decorations |
Winter is here! We only have left just a few days till
December and then Christmas. If you started to make decorations here are some
inspiration for you. I made this last year for a rustic wheel lamp. You don’t
need a lot of expensive materials. You can also use the one you have in the
house or leftovers.

Materials:
- - Grey yarn
- - Red yarn
- - Old cookie cutter
- - Glue
- - Colorful band
- - Red and white material
- - Pins
- - Golden materials – small pieces
- - Dried orange slices
- - Foam balls
- - Used cinnamon sticks
Directions:
For the cookie cutter you need a rectangle piece of golden
lace and a 30 cm red band. Glue the rectangle on the cookie cutter and then tie
the band around it. So easy!
For the yarn balls you need glue, foam balls and yarn.
Start wrapping yarn around the balls and glue it. Take your
time and wait for the glue to dry. You can make them nice and neat like the
grey one or messy like the red one. At the end leave 20 cm – 30 cm yarn for hanging.
Use any yarn you like and make any combinations you like.
Cut 10 cm long materials and arrange them as a bow. With a pin
fix it on top of the balls and be carefully to leave the yarn for hanging free.
The last one is the orange slice decoration.
Make a small whole in the dried orange slice. Glue the
cinnamon stick on top of the slice and when is dried glue the golden material.
Finish with a 20 cm – 30 cm red band. Put it through the hole in the orange and
then tie everything together.
As you can see I had cheap materials but I made great
decorations.
I hanged my decorations on a wooden wheel lamp in our cabin in the kitchen.
Have fun!
