Grey purse

Grey crocheted purse

I start to learn how to crochet and I got hooked. I love it! Still a lot more to go but I like what I know so far.
This beautiful knitted purse can be wear during the day with jeans or during the night at an elegant event. The tassel with the beads gives the purse a sophisticated look.

Finished size: 21 cm x 13 cm x 2 cm
The cord is 120 cm long.

Materials:

-          Yarn
-       Light grey yarn
-          Needles 4mm
-          Crochet hook 4mm
-          Beads
-       Needle
-       Scissors

Directions:

The purse is done with Moss stitch. It is an easy stitch and a great pattern.
The cord is a Romanian cord which is easy after you learn it. At the begging could be scary. I know it was for me.
For moss stitch you need an even number.

1.      Cast 40 stitches.
2.     SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, CH, skip 1 CH, SC in the next CH, till the end. With the moss stitch we are gone end each row with a single crochet so we have a nice edge. Turn.
3.     CH, SC in the first stitch, SC, CH, SC….SC in the last stitch. Turn
4.     SC, CH, SC, CH….Turn.
5      Repeat 3 and 4 until you are done.

This is the Moss stitch. As I said is very easy. When you are done fold it in 3 pieces: 2 equal and 1 smaller. With the light grey yarn make a few designs with a needle in the front.
Crochet a Romanian cord 146 cm long and then sew it on each side of the purse from bottom on each side. It will give your purse depth. In the middle sew the beans and then you are done.
As you can see, you have a great day or night crochet purse.
Happy crocheting!
